Virus Removal Is Not That Hard.

Contracting the virus.

Contracting a virus is easy, removing it is not so easy. There are many more ways to getting a virus than just watching porn now. They are sent through emails and other forms of communication. They are made to still your passwords to bank accounts and personal files. They are also made to spy on a person or just to annoy you. Viruses are easy to get under control using the following virus removal method.

Common Symptoms.

Its easy to spot whether you have a virus or not. Do you get pop ups on your screen telling you to buy something, or naughty pics of women? If your PC used to run fast and now its slower then molasses, this is usually a huge sign. Some of your programs are not working properly, they keep closing out or making you restart it. Viruses will make your PC shutdown and move by itself. The worst symptom of all are those blue screen errors of death. It is somewhat hard to come back from a blue screen of death.

The clean up process.

This needs to be done in safe mode. Remove all cookies and cache in your PC. It may be easier to use a clean up scan. Continue to remove all temp files and those prefetch files. You can find the prefetch folder by doing a search within windows or by typing in the run box.

Other unwanted programs.

Next remove all programs in your add/remove list. Some viruses come in with certain types of programs installed. This will also free up some space and clean out old files and registry entries. Yes go ahead and remove the other programs that you are not using.

Full scan of PC.

Next you need to run a full anti-virus scan on your PC. This will take some time and needs to be done in safe mode. During this process its best to let the computer just run its scan. It will uses less resources and will remove everything. Once the scan completes remove all remnants of the viruses. There should be a button to do this with.

My browser was hijacked.

When your browser gets hijacked run a Trojan or hijack remover. A good example of one is the smitfraudfix. When its finished running take out everything it found. Its good to reset your browser settings. And don\’t forget to uninstall unwanted toolbars and pop up blockers. Too many at one time will cancel each other out.

Is the Virus still present?

Advanced users can actually do more. If there is still a problem, do a search for the virus in the registry. Be very careful because this is the brains of the computer. Remove all associated keys found with this search. You can also do a search for those files in windows or in the hard drive. Then you can go through the start up files located in msconfig and disable some of them. Do not let it happen again.

Protect yourself.

Once your computer is connected to the Internet you should get a good anti-virus program. It\’s not all about the price. Remember key points in virus removal. Too many programs will cancel one another out and not work properly, Making it easier to get a virus.
