i have been using greeting card 6, then 7 and now i purchased 8. i am very unhappy with it..and will be going back to version 7. the color choices are limited and when printing my cards, i had to go to my hp director for selecting either black or color. the printing icon on the program did not recognize my choice of color or black. my preferences were color with normal printing type and the cards printed in black –or grayscale—. it’s too much trouble to go to the hp printer to set my choices every time i want to print a card. the ease of the program is not as good as version 7. regarding the envelope complaints, i was never able to print envelopes in version 7 and did not even bother after reading the complaints about version 8. this must be something nova cannot correct in their software.

I have been trying different Greeting Card Software for some time and have the following programs installed on my computer at this time:
American Greeting CreataCard Plus 4.
American Greeting PRINT! Premium 2.
Hallmark Card Studio 2009( Have renewed since 2004). Will not renew again.
Hallmark Comedy Card Studio.
Printmaster Platinum 2.0.
Card Builder from Pearl Mountain.
Greeting Card Studio.
Greeting Card Factory is the best yet. It has all of the features you find on the other programs plus it offers plenty of templates for every occasion. It is the most intuitive program and has plenty of clip art, sentiments and photos. It allows you to alter the printing on the front of the card as well as the verse inside. One of the best features is the ability to control the size of the thumbnail to choose your template. All of the other programs only offer you a small thumbnail to pick the template you want but Greeting Card Factory allows you to enlarge the selections so you can actually read what is on the card as you are making your selection. Much better than switching back and forth till you get the template you want.

I purchased this software to help me with items I do on my website. I researched software based on my needs for doing specific things and also for flexibility when doing projects from scratch. I have not been disappointed. This is so simple to use, yet has lots of features. I will buy from Nova again.

I purchased this for my wife. She is very nice, but not very computer savy. After a bumpy 15-20 minutes, she was able to print out some great cards. We are running Vista 64 bit on her laptop. She now feels very comfortable with the product. No glitches, no lock-ups, pretty easy to use.

I just purchased this software to replace my aging Create-a-card app that had a few issues with my Windows 7. I have to say this is leagues better than the Create-a-card software. I have read many of the complaints of other posters, and couldn’t disagree more. This is a fantastically versatile piece of software. My only complaint is that there apparently is no way to cut and paste text from another source into this program. I communicated with Nova Development about this and they said that unfortunately there was no way to do this. I think this is a small price to pay in exchange for the many other benefits of the program. Envelopes were a bit tough to figure out at first, but it turned out to be a setting on my printer and not a problem with this software. I needed to set the printer for “scaled printing”. In my case, if I didn’t do this, the printer thought that all envelopes were 8 ½ X 11 no matter what size they actually were. Envelopes now turn out great. There are thousands of templates to use, or you can design your own with an unbelievable number of tools you can use. There doesn’t seem to be anything you can’t do. Menus are convenient and intelligently laid out. Print quality for text and graphics is excellent. I am in no way associated with the company that produced this product. I am simply a satisfied user who got an excellent product at a great price.
