This is the first accounting software I’ve used. I am very pleased that it conforms to accounting principles and yet is so very easy to use.

This was an absolute life-saver and I’d recommend any of the QuickBooks products to individuals and business owners alike. I am not very computer savvy but had no problems navigating the program and find myself using it almost daily. I will be purchasing the latest version ASAP.

We have used QB since its inception at our small business. This version finally allows seamless intergration with our CPA’s windows version. Other great features added for increased speed and a better user interface for specialized reporting. Tech support has improved over the years with their renewed commitment to the Macintosh platform. Still has room for improvement, but a solid performer.

I’ve used Quickbooks in 1999, then upgraded in 2000, then QBPro in 2001 then upgraded in 2003. I also tried this Mac version on a friends computer.
Intuit Quickbooks, in all its iterations, is a poorly supported money grab. It’s highly restrictive and not worth your money. The Mac version is missing key features that they’re just too LAZY to incorporate. They are greedy and they just don’t care about the customer.
When they decided to “sunset” my version and no longer support it, I emailed them and told them to shove it. Here’s why.
Please note: When you buy the software and install it, it will look online for “updates”. When that happens, you can’t go back.
By that, I mean once you install updates, your user data will no longer work with the CD-ROM version that came in the box or that you purchased online and downloaded.
Why is this important?
Intuit “sensets” a product and will no longer support it after a few short years. This would not be a big deal except for the following.
If you have to reinstall your OS for any reason and _your_ version has been sunset, you’re screwed!
Remember, You’ve _had_ several software updates…
Intuit will not provide those updates online…
Your backed-up data will NOT work when you reinstall the software!
because… “this data was synced with a newer version of this software” or something like that phrase.
Good luck opening the data file.
It’s called _forced upgrade_ (read money grab)!
There really is no reason for this.
ALSO, they actually break the software…
I purchased my last version of QBPro for the credit card processing capabilities. When the product was sunset, that stopped working!! I paid for this program, it was working ok, and they just _turned off_ that part of the program! I will not buy their software again.
By the way, the Mac version is JUNK and overpriced. I love Amazon because of their prices, service and the ability to rate products. Now that you know the truth about Quickbooks, RUN!

I had purchase the simple start a year ago and it was easy to use, this version does not come with the flow chart system and has a lot of stuff that I don’t need or want. Plus the banking doesn’t work with Wells Fargo so that leave the 10 million of us banking with Wells fargo in the dark.
